Review of Movie Waiting

Overview : Waiting  is movie that makes you learn lesson of life

Storyline : The story revolves round Shiv (Naseeruddin Shah ) , whose wife has been in coma in first class hospital in cochin for the past 9 months , his wife is on life support system  till then . On the other hand , there is Tara (Kalki Koechlin) , whose husband has met with an accident and is also in coma . Shiv and Tara strike a friendship of necessity in a hospital waiting room .  Shiv guides Tara how to cope with the grief . He has reached a zen stage wherein he has accepted the grief  whereas for Tara the grief is very  fresh .

 

The doctors ask shiv to give up and let go of the support system as his wife will never really get out of Coma , but Shiv is adamant , he thinks that doctor Nirupam (Rajat Kapoor ) , is doing this only for business purpose and he does not want to operate on a senior citizen. Shiv is not ready to give up  yet as he thinks whether that is what his wife of 40 years would want him to do ? On the other hand there is dilemma with Tara as well wherein the doctor adamant to do her husband brain surgery but there is an question whether he will be the same again , as there is a possibility that he might be stuck in a wheel chair for life . Would he want that life , and would it be ok to subject him to brain surgery .

What happens to both the cases is for audience to watch .

Performances : Naseeruddin a classic actor is at his best , the facial expressions and emotions and anger and dilemma all those human traits are depicted by him to perfection . Kalki has also acted well .

Rajat Kapoor  as doctor has played well you can either like him or hate him .

Director Anu Menon does not spell the beans as the scenes unfold . she makes you impatient like the characters on screen . She makes you waiting wondering what next . Menon involves you and makes the pain of the characters on screen ‘yours’ Such is the direction . The Movie has a good screenplay .

 

Verdict : Watch it to experience pain of waiting  , debate , dilemma of a person stuck in bad situation

Its not a commercial movie and not for weak hearted persons

Trailer Launch of Sultan

Mumbai 24th May saw launch of the much awaited movie of the year Sultan , Starring Salman Khan  and Anushka Sharma .


A classic underdog tale about a wrestler who makes a comeback defeating all odds staked up against him, Sultan’s journey will bring alive his heartfelt love story. The film promises mint fresh romance, an inspiring tale and unique wrestling action.

Speaking at the launch of the trailer Salman said that he is not at all like sultan who is a wrestler but he is much of a romantic as a person . Commenting on the music of the film he said that he loves folk music that the movie has incorporated .

The movie looks promising and hopefully another golden feather in Salman's career .

Punjabi Boys Arjan Bajwa & Mika Singh spotted bonding over music recording sessions!

 

Punjabi Mundas, Arjan Bajwa & Mika Singh were recently spotted bonding over their love for music while recording a song for Arjan's upcoming film.

The song is sung by Mika Paaji and Sunidhi Chauhan and is for Arjan's upcoming flick, ISHQ with debutant Isha Talwar. The duet sung by the best of the best in the industry, seems to be only one of the hit songs of the film. "There are other songs by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Arif lohar & Nooran Sisters. Composed by famed British India composer Mukhtar Sahota, this is the biggest combination for a music album for a Punjabi film!!" says Arjan.

Bonding over music and their Punjabi genes, Mika and Arjan seemed to have got along like a house on fire during the music recording session!

We love Punjabi mundas and think that Mika's voiceover for Arjan bajwa, that too in a Punjabi film, seems like its a win-win combo!

Mumbai, 20^th May 2016: The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) has announced the 17^th Edition of the most spectacular celebration of Indian Cinema worldwide that will occur in the capital city of Madrid, Spain from 23^rd – 26^th June this year!

 

IIFA Rocks has always been a star-studded affair with a mix of fashion, music and dance. It is a celebrated global event that has been growing each year. To reveal some of the exciting details about the upcoming Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend, Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan was joined by versatile actor Anil Kapoor who together shared their excitement about the IIFA celebrations being held in

Spain  endJune. The two friends were joined by leading lady Shilpa Shetty, young icons Tiger Shroff, Abhay Deol and Sooraj Pancholi. Music sensations Meet Brothers, Kanika Kapoor, Monali Thakur, and Benny Dayal too joined the media event to share their joy about performing at the IIFA ROCKS in Madrid. National-award winner Monali Thakur and Papon will be serenading the audience. Remember Waqt, Sholay, and Amar Akbar Anthony These films are some of the most popular multi-starrers Bollywood has ever generated. Over the years, several film-makers have tried this formula. While some have set the cash registers ringing at the box office, others haven’t made a mark. The trend of making multi-starrers is now back yet again. Several new films are exploring the age-old format.

Last year, movies like Badlapur and Dil Dhadakne Do followed the multi-starrer route. This year’s hit film, Kapoor & Sons, did the same. In the coming months, too, a number of big multi-starrers like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Udta Punjab, Housefull 3, Rangoon, Dishoom and Rock On 2 will hit the big screen.

Sajid Nadiadwala who has produced multi-starrers films like Judwaa,  Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega ,and the Housefull series, among others. He says such films “infuse new energy and pose a “new challenge”. “Creatively, they give a different kind of kick. I have grown up watching multi-starrers,” says Nadiadwala. 

Udta Punjab the immediate release which is set to hit theaters on 17th June has already received a massive thumbs Up from the audiences the day the trailer of the film was released by the makers. The ensemble cast was loved by the fans who are now awaiting the release of the film. 

Sajid Nadiadwala adds it is all about offering the audience an experience that is worth their money. “Even casting two heroes in a movie — like Salman Khan and Sunny Deol in Jeet (1996), Salman and Akshay Kumar in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004) and Jaan-E-Mann (2006), or Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in Rangoon excites the audience, and me, as a film-maker. But it is an uphill task to get two stars together. So, not many makers are able to pull multi-starrers off,”
