India's first Virtual Reality Music Video by Artiste - Avanti Nagral

Avanti Nagral, a multi-talented young artist from Bombay and Boston was introduced and launched by Flying Carpet Productions on 29^th June, 2017 at Shiro in Mumbai.  Her debut English single, ‘I Like’, which she wrote and composed was presented to the who’s who of the music industry and society along with India’s first 360 degree VR (Virtual Reality) music video.

 

The song ‘I Like’ is a rendition of Avanti’s hybrid personal and musical identity. It has an addictive chorus that depicts girl power. The song is about following your dreams, your passions, and being independent in your thoughts, irrespective of public opinion. It portrays the individuality that is essential to empower women. The song was actually born out of stories and struggles of women empowerment. The song has been produced and released by Ashish Manchanda’s Flying Carpet Productions.

 

 

 

Avanti has a soulful and mature voice that is full of emotion. As a songwriter she has an independent outlook and a voice, a message that connects with the youth. Through her songs she wishes to portray the diversity and power of modern Indian women and girls. She has been performing at music festivals internationally as a young pop artist from India.

 

The video is India’s 1^st Virtual Reality Music Video, it is a new brand of i-pop music (Indian pop, immersive pop). The technology in the video gives an immersive experience that builds a connection with the audience. The video depicts how VR technology can be used in diverse ways, a perfect visual interpretation rendered by internationally renowned filmmaker from New York ‘Blake Farber’ and light and design by John Engstrom.

Avanti Nagral is a multi-talented young artist from the heart of Bombay and the soul of Boston, whose music mirrors her passion. Avanti’s music encompasses various genres – Indian Classical, Broadway, Church/Gospel and Devotional – into a modern Pop-Soul sound. Celebrity nutritionist and author, commonly known as the ‘Nourishment Genie’, Pooja Makhija launched her second book ‘EAT. DELETE. JUNIOR’  at the Pallazio Banquette at St,Regis Hotel, Mumbai with new parents Karan Johar and Mira Rajput Kapoor.

Published by Harper Collins, Eat Delete Junior focuses on how parents can teach their kids healthy food habits, shedding light on how a child’s palate develops, methods to keep junk food at bay and the habits needed to prevent ill-health and obesity. Woven through fables and fairytales, this book is the much-desired parenting guide that helps them emerge victorious over the ultimate child- rearing battleground - the Dinner Table.

 

At the launch, the newly blessed parents Karan Johar and Mira Rajput Kapoor shared their own anxieties and experiences regarding child nutrition with moderator Mandira Bedi and Pooja Makhija. This was followed by a fun face off between the celebrity parents, Karan and Mira that included blind baby food tastings and food presentation contests. 

 

Mira Rajput shared her views on ‘Eat. Delete. Junior’ by saying, “As a new mother, child nutrition raises so many questions. It’s reassuring to have some definitive answers.”

 

Karan Johar described parenting, saying, ““It is daunting, it is exhilarating, it is shocking in my case. It is just everything I thought it would be, and yet what I thought it was not. Review of Movie Bank Chor

Overview : Don’t Judge The Book By Its Cover . This Theory Applies To This Movie

Story Line : The Story begins with a common man Champak (Riteish Deshmukh), who along with his accompli  Gulab (Bhuvan Arora) and Genda (Vikram Thapa), who are small time thieves from Delhi Ncr . They team up together to attempt to rob a bank in South Mumbai . The Trio attempts to rob the bank on gun point , butwith their tomfoolery and their non sense talk among themselves discussing traits and differnces between mumbaikars and delhities, the bank employees and customers who are hostages realise that the robbers are amateurs.The robbers in their foolishness instead of opening the bank main locker end up sealing it .. Meanwhile outside the bank there is lot of scene going on between Mumbai Police and CBI headed by  Amjad Khan (Vivek Oberoi) to solve the bank robbery case . Amjad Khan takes over the case and tells the police to stay put . Amjad Khan warns Champak to release the hostages within one hour else he will take action . He tells the media that he has a plan as to how to catch the thieves . Champak soon realises his mistake , he gets in touch with a journalist from the media waiting outside rhea Chakraborty and conveys a message through her that he is ready to surrender , but at that moment itself one of the hostage Jugnu takes  charge and says that he is the real Bank Chor , he is not after money but he is in search of a hard drive that has an information about a political scam . Jugnu uses Champak as his bait and threatens CBI and police , Who is this Jugnu , Does Amjad Khan knows about the scam . Will Champak and other hostages be free . For All these ans you need to watch the movie . There are many twist and turns that will  confuse you at many times .

Script Analysis And Director Review : The Script is weak . The strory line is confusing . The Director has portrayed the posters etc to present the movie  as a comedy but it is neither and comedy nor a proper thriller . He has messed up the whole script . There are many loose ends to the story .
Performances : Ritesh Deshmukh has done a good job , he has portrayed his role to perfection . Journalist turned actor Vikram Thapa makes his debut as gulab has done a good job, Bhuvan Arora as genda  is also good . Vivek Oberoi as Amjad Khan is wasted Rhea Chakraborty as struggling reporter Gayatri Ganguly is ok and has nothing much to do

Final Word : You can watch it once but don’t expect it to be a comedy .

This edition of WOAP 2 promises to be a culinary extravaganza where the chefs took the cities food lovers through exclusive master classes as they created their signature dishes.

This was followed by an exclusive Tete-A-Tete where the chefs shared their personal experiences and moments.

Vivek Oberoi Roasts Riteish Deshmukh At Bank Chor Roasting Session!

Ever Since Meri Pyaari Bindu , whose trailer was released in a  unique and different way , the makers at yrf films , under their banner of "Y" Films whose last release was mere dad ki maruti . Their latest offering is Bank Chor Starring Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi

On Monday, the 'Bank Chor' makers hosted an event, where Riteish Deshmukh was set to get roasted by the journalists in all his capacity. The roast was too hard to handle, but Riteish sportingly took everything in his stride.

Riteish was totally grilled by the media , which he very gracefully handled it .

When Media asked Riteish about one thing that he only knows about Vivek . He answered honestly that Vivek Has a big mouth that often lands him in trouble .

While beginning the roast session, and promoting the song 'Lag Gaye Tashreef,' Vivek called for his own battle.

At the event, Vivek said, "(Tashreef toh tab lag gaye the) I was roasted then itself when 14 years ago I'd called for a press conference. The ones who didn't get this line are 'Tubelights'.

Since Vivek is playing the character of a cop in 'Bank Chor', a journalist quizzed him asking do you like Tubelight's (referring to Salman Khan's cop act in the 'Dabangg' franchise) cop stint?
The actor immediately asserted, "Yes, I did like and will watch part 3 (Dabangg 3) also.

All in all it was a very entertaining event

'Bank Chor' is slated to release on June 16.
