Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrates 15 splendid years at Cannes Film Festival 2016

Review of Movie Santa Banta Pvt Ltd

Over View : Santa Banta  Jokes are famous but these character’s in a form of Movie don’t work

Story Line : The movie revolves around two characters who are best friends , Santeshwar Singh aka Santa (Boman Irani ) and Banteshwar Singh aka Banta (Vir Das) , they are good for nothing soul , there is famous Raw Sacret Agent named by their name Santa And Banta , these good for nothing are  mistaken to be Secret Agent and they are taken to Fiji Island for a Mission by Arvind (Vijay Raj) , who fails to find actual agent , he sends these fake ones .Their Mission is to rescue Indian High Commissioner  Shanker (Ayub Khan ) , In Fiji who has been kidnapped .

After reaching Fiji island , santa and banta meet commissioner wife Kareena (Neha Dhupia) .and Shanker’s Friend Sonu Sultan (Ram Kapoor) ,for their so called investigation .

They are working in co  ordination with the raw agents from Fiji Cutie (Lisa Hayden) and Akbar Illahabadi ()Sanjay Mishra)  .

in between this there is Nepal’s Don No 1 Johny Lever who think they are real raw agents , santa and banta so he is also after them . The mission of finding the commissioner takes santa and banta on a roller coaster ride  making an unsuccessful attempt to making it a comic movie .
What happens with the investigation is for the audience to watch .

 

Performances : The main characters , Boman Irani and Vir Ds individually try to save this film but their partnership does not click .

Rest of the cast such as Snjay Mishra , Jihny Lever , Vijay Raaz are completely wasted . Lisa Hayden and Neha Dhupia hardly have any acting to do they are only to increase glam quotient.

 
Verdict : The film badly fails in it script  , Director Akashdeep tried hard to make it a funny movie but failed miserably , there is nothing to laugh about on the other hand you will be forced to buzz off . The songs have been just pushed in the movie having senseless timing . Even the beautiful  Fiji Island have become lifeless due to bad scripting .The character of Johny Lever looks like have been pushed in without  any sense . its just a waste

 
Final Word : There is nothing in the movie to look forward to . Comedy is just an illusion in this movie .

Lara Dutta Felicitates Winners of Fair & Lovely Foundation Scholarship Program For Women

Rakhee Sawant to play eunuch in upcoming movie 'UPEKSHA'


Controversial Queen Rakhee Sawant appeared as a Eunuch for the first time in Bollywood history, at the Muhurat shot of film “UPEKSHA”, at Sheesha Sky Lounge, Juhu, Mumbai on 15th April 2016. Authentic lamp was lit by Ravinddra Khare, Rakhee Sawant, Laxmi Narayan (a well-known activist for Eunuch), Hasmukh Patel & Kabina Maharajan, which was followed by a brilliant performance by another eunuch Honey Darling. Entire crowd along with media applauded with thundering claps, after which everyone along with some more eunuchs (Anu, Kamal, Nandini, Rakhi etc.) unveiled the poster of the film. Vishakha compared the show with excellence.

Rakhee Sawant speaking on the occasion said that Eunuch should be given equal rights like normal person , they should have right to education so that they can have a decent life . They should not be considered as stigma to society but govt should work for its upliftment . 

Rakhee Sawant and Laxmi Narayan both said that this film is based on a real story, a story of a child who was born in a rich family but was not perfect, neither male nor female, she was a eunuch, so the film is about the struggle of the eunuchs in our society who are denied from their every rights in modern society.

Film is being made under the banner of ‘Music One Films Production & Studio’, being produced & direction by Ravinddra Khare, creative director Anil S. Mehta, lyrics & music by Nitin Raikwar and Ravinddra Khare.

Film has Rakhee Sawant to enact role of a Eunuch Rani, with Laxmi Narayan, Razzak Khan, Hasmukh Patel, Kabina Maharajan in main artists other cast &credits are being finalized.

Sanjay Dutt's special gift!

 
 
Sanjay Dutt who had penned down about 500 shayaris is soon planning to publish these in a book! It’s learnt that the actor wants to gift the first few copies of the book when it releases to two of his very special friends that he made during his time at Yerwada. The actor has compiled all these stories in a book titled “Salaakhen”

Named Zeeshan and Sameer, infact these friends were the ones who had helped the actor pen down these poems while their time in Yerwada. The actor is also getting the book published essentially for these friends.

The actor developed a great bond with the two guys at Yerwada. Known for his loyalty and friendship, Sanjay has also expressed on doing something for his two friends and has become very close to them.

Review of Movie Ki & Ka

Overview : A modern and Brave new concept of role reversal  ,for  Indian Society  who take efforts put in by woman as worthless and take them granted

: TheStory  Line story revolves around Kia (Kareena Kapoor Khan ) . who is an aggressive and career oriented woman , working in a corporate company and  has a goal to reach the position of  C.E.O of the company . She wants to stay independent, minus the house hold responsibility , according to her she cannot be like a khamba (pillar ) ,  of any man . She meets Kabir (Arjun Kapoor) , who is son of a reputed builder from Delhi , . Kabir is an M.B.A  , but who has no interest in joining his father’s Business or  join any corporate company , according to  him  people are just running the race he  terms them as corporate robot’s .

He does not have any interest in living like a robot , infact he wants to be like his late mother , who was his father’s pillar . So when Ki for kia and ka for kabir when they meet they instantly start liking each  other , and they decide to get married . Kabir agrees to manage the house,  according to him looking after the home is an art and he consider’s himself an artist . So he does all house hold chores cokoking and cleaning etc while Kia can pursue her dream of reaching the peak  of her career . , But on this course of Role reversal there are many hurdles awaiting

Everyone  comes to know bout this role reversal , including ki’s office colleagues , Kia; Agency  interviews ka , as he is the ideal man for every woman of modern generations dreams of , This interview leads to many talk shows , Cooking shows etc , , Ka becomes famous so much so that even Jaya Bachanan wants to meet him ,  debating with Big B  on changing roles . All this publicity makes Mrs Ki very jealous of her husband   without really doing much he has  become famous , with this jealousy ih her heart she goes to US.A  for a conference , in her absence her mother gets hospitalised , she gets an opportunity and she lashes out on Ka , she blames him for her mother’s condition and tells him that he is manipulative and has used her to proof to his father that he too can become famous without actually doing much. What happens next  will their marriage survive or crash is for the audience to watch .

 

Performances : Kareena Kapoor Khan has acted brilliantly as arrogant and independent woman . Specially her acting in lashing out scene is brilliant . Arjun Kapoor has played his role of house husband at ease without any embarrassment . Swaroop Sampat as Kareena’s Mother is good .

 Verdict : The Director R.Balki who has given us Brilliant films like Cheeni Kum , Paa, Shamitabh etc has failed to give same results  in Ki & Ka . The screenplay of the film is the main reason for its disappointment . The quirky idea of role reversal is brilliant but Balki has failed in its execution .  First half is good and entertaining as the concept is conceptualised properly but the second half goes hay wire  making it a typical stereo type movie of ego’s clashing between couple’s . When a man does woman’s job and vice a versa ,society and people around you will always criticise and protest first . The story lacks showing this criticism , even KI’s office collegues too behave normally lile it is a regular stuff to be a house husband . Instead of focusing on the story line , story emphasises on KIi & Ka’s personal battle and jealousy , this is where the script lacks .

 

Final Words : Though the film is unable to justify the beauty of this amazing concept , it does not have any dull moment so it can make for a one time watch.
