Maharashtra Badminton Association to help players get international exposure

Mumbai, September 25, 2016: Maharashtra Badminton Association today said it will focus on infrastructure development and increased use of technology to further promote the racquet sport in the state as it expects the count of its registered players to more than double in 12 months. The decision was made in the 75th Annual General Meeting held here today in Mumbai. 
 
The members of the sports body were ecstatic with the gaining popularity of the sport in the past few years. They said this was evident with the overwhelming response the sports body was getting for all the state tournaments. 
 
To cope up with the increasing strain of larger entries and to help players with better management of their tournament plan, the association has introduced new software, which saves players from the hassle of filling multiple forms for different tournaments. The single online form can now be also used for district, state, national and international tournaments. The software will provide timely updates via emails and SMS on changes regarding the entries or reminders about important notification, the last dates, etc. to the players. The District Associations too will have their own website linked and provided by MBA. They can run their tournaments, photographs, messages, sponsorship advt. on the same.
 
Speaking at the AGM, President of the Maharashtra Badminton Association, Mr. Arun Lakhani said, “Our focus in the coming years is to provide better facilities and support to our players. For the same, MBA intends to propose to Govt of Maharashtra to handover 6 large stadiums built at commissionarates like Pune, Aurangabad, Nasik, Nagpur, and facilities at district level built by the DSO. MBA aims to have at least 2 large academies functional by the end of 3 years and many more courts at district levels.”
 
MBA has aggressive plans to support talents for International events and has appealed the industry for their support. Corporate companies like Vishvaraj Infrastructure, ltd have been supporting talented players like Rasika and Arundhati from Nagpur for the past few years and results are now showing. Today, Rasika Raje is playing the finals in Poland International Series.
 
MBA will also actively promote players for sponsorship and recruitment as well with public sector companies, govt. departments, and corporate.
 
Mr. Lakhani informed that the association had also taken up the important issue of "sports marks" with the Government of Maharashtra. He said the association had proposed setting up a Maharashtra state ranking system from where the first 200 deserving players to be given 25 marks benefit. The number will depend on the players participating. It will give proper evaluation and regular players will be benefited.  
 
Maharashtra Badminton Association will upload the ranking system on its website for feedback. The norms would be finalized after taking all stakeholders' views into consideration. Further, the MBA would put efforts through this website for placements of players in PSUs and other willing Corporates. He suggested creating pool of Sponsors or Corporates for adoption of talented players.
 
“MBA has plans to organize training camps for coaches where international coaches can come and train our coaches with newer latest techniques being used worldwide.”Two of our coaches have already done small courses with the BWF," he informed.
 
Recently the association hosted a spectacular event where Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Sports Minister Shri. Vinod Tawade & other dignitaries felicitated Rio Olympic Silver medalist PV Sindhu and her coach Mr. Pulela Gopichand.
 
Mr. Arun Lakhani took over the reins of the Maharashtra Badminton Association in October 2015. Since then, the Maharashtra Badminton Association has been aggressively working towards putting together a robust grassroots development program and local tournaments to identity and hone young shuttlers from a very young age.

SONAKSHI SINHA, SAKSHI MALIK AND BANI J ANNOUNCE THE #LIKEAGIRL & PROUD CHALLENGE


Tuesday, 20th September 2016: Leading Feminine Care brand Whisper celebrated its #LikeAGirl campaign, now a nationwide movement, to reinforce the need to redefine the phrase ‘Like A Girl’. Recent events have shown that the perception of the phrase Like A Girl is undergoing a positive change in India, such as the very heartening conversations about ‘They Fought Like A Girl’ or ‘They Played Like A Girl’ with reference to the female athletes who performed well at the Rio Olymppics. In fact, Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s self composed poem ‘Fight Like A Girl’ also went viral and touched the heart of millions of girls across the country. But there still seems to be a long way to go. 
At the event hosted by youth icon and ex-roadie Bani J, Sonakshi Sinha and Sakshi Malik shed light upon some shocking revelations based on a survey recently conducted by Nielsen, in association with Whisper.





On this occasion Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha said, “I have evolved professionally and personally. I want to be the best version of myself and so should every girl in the country. It’s important for every girl to understand that only our gender doesn’t and shouldn’t define who we are. It’s important that our society realizes this as well and that every girl is actively encouraged to do things she loves to do. My parents have always supported my decisions and haven’t pressurized me to not do certain things just because I am a girl. They have encouraged me to believe in the decisions I make and take responsibility. Recently I have done movie Akira that required lots of stunts to be showcased and it was women oriented role my parents have always supported me and never discriminate as I have 2 brothers . I’m glad to be part of Whisper’s Like A Girl movement and proud that such initiatives are being undertaken to encourage girls to be unstoppable and proud”.
The actress further added, “It is a matter of great pride for us as a country to see girls like Sakshi Malik represent India and achieve global recognition for Indian athletes. It’s a testament that fighting #LikeAGirl or playing #LikeAGirl is truly amazing.”

Talking about associating with the Like A Girl Movement, Sakshi Malik, said, “I don't believe that girls can't fight as hard as boys, as strong as boys and as confidently as boys. Yes, we are built differently - but we can always be as strong as we want me. When I started wrestling, it was never a "girls" sport - only the boys played and they said, "how should a girl wrestle? Why should a girl wrestle?" But I did not listen and aren't you happy I did not? Because now we have a female wrestling medal.  Wrestling is my largest love and when you love wrestling the way I do, what they say is never important - it's just a single minded focus to keep going, keep training and doing what you love to do! Falling deeper in love with it everyday. We as women need to continue playing and striving to win, and puberty is the last thing that should stop us, because along the way there are so many other obstacles that could stop us and we did not stop!  I played and fought #LikeAGirl, and am proud to see young girls and women are inspired by my win at the Olympics. It is truly fantastic to be part of Whisper’s Like A Girl movement and play a part in redefining the phrase like a girl into a positive affirmation, because "girl" is never an insult.”

Kangana Ranaut Launches Tutak Tutak Tootiyan Song wth Sonu Sood and Prabhu Deva

Speaking on the occasion Kangana got nostalgic as Sonu and Kangana belong to the same city and their friendship dates back from that time . Kangana also expressed her desire to work with sonu sood soon in a Movie . She congraluted Sonu on turning Producer and she herself has a hidden desire to become a Director in future .

Mirzya's Grand music launch, introduces debutant Harshvardhan and Saiyami.

 
 

 
In one of Mrizya's first ever event held at a suburban Five star , saw an introduction to the lead pair, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher. 

This is the first time the debutant Harshvardhan and Saiyami  were introduced to the media after keeping them under wraps for quiet some time. 

The grand event unveiled the music of Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming.Known for having an ear for the best music, it wasn't a surprise when the crowd erupted into applause's for the music. 

Mirzya's music launch was graced by industries finest music maestro's Gulzar, Daler Mehendi and the trio music composers Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.
 
 

Gulzar, who is the lyricist and writer of the film , was seen reciting few lines at the event , a very rare move! 

Singer Daler Mehndi, who has sang most of the songs in the film was seen captivating he audience with him crooning to the title track . 

Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy set the stage grooving with performing live for the audience.

Mirzya's music launch saw the Kapoor family come together for Harshvardhan Kapoor's debut film. In attendance were, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Javed Akhtar and Tanvi Azmi.

Anil Kapoor was overwhelmed with his son all geared up to be a part of the industry . 

The proud father says "Life has come full circle today. My father came here to the industry a few decades back. He saw success, disappointments, but that gave me and my brothers strength. I want to thank my father, mother, my brothers.It is a very joyous moment for me today. My son Harshvardhan is here. Beta ho toh aisa ho (A son should be like him)"

Review Of The Movie Baar Baar Dekho

Overview : The movie is about time travel journey of love life of Jai and Diya
Story line : The story revolves round Jai (Siddarth Malhotra ) who is Vedic Maths Prof and Diya (Katrina Kaif ) , who are childhood sweet hearts and are on the verge of getting married , when Diya proposes marriage to Jai at first he agrees but soon after he gets overwhelmed by all the pre wedding functions as he lives his life as per mathematical calculations , so much so that he ask panditji to complete the wedding in 3 pheras , as he does not have time , panditji ties a knot to him and explains him the meaning of saat pheras , but he gets more exhausted and tells Diya that he has a offer from Cambridge University to work as Vedic Maths Prof and therefore he wants to settle there but Diya does not agree and they both fight , diya goes away and Jai drinks a lot and passes out . The next morning when he wakes up a miracle has happened and he wakes up in Thailand on his honeymoon with diya , he has leaped ten days ahead , he freaks out and is totally confused about what id happening to him with no memory of the intervining time . The next morning it’s a jump of 2 years , wherein he has moved to England as Maths Prof and the two of them are having a baby . Their marriage also seems to be cracking apart with him not giving much time to his family . The next jump takes him 16 years ahead , his son picks him up and takes him to a court in England , Jai assumes that the boy is getting married but eventually realises that he and Diya are there to finalize their divorce .
In the next leap Jai finds himself mourning his mother’s death and also realises that diya has married the owner of the art gallery . He totally freaks out and finds himself on the verge of dying alone . At that moment he realises his mistake and attempts to change his destiny by changing his behaviour and give more time to his family too and tries to balance both family and career . Will he be able to change his destiny before it becomes too late is for the audience to watch .

Performances : Siddarth Malhotra has done a good job in the film . He has acted well .
Katrina Kaif after so many years I s finally learning to act and express emotions .
Ram Kapoor is Hilarious

Director Nitya Mehra though she has shown the movie which is not realistic but beyond your imagination but she has managed to give a stong message to the new generation who are running only after their career and not able to give time to family , people have lost the gist of life that lies in small small moments of happiness within the family which is important . In the crave for future good life people have forgotten to enjoy the present and enjoy life .

Final Word : Though the movie will not connect with the masses as it is beyond their understanding . They can watch it for its beautiful locations and cinematography plus the music is good .

Review of the Movie Freaky Ali

Overview : The film showcases the journey of a common man but a talented person , who steps into the world of Golf which is considered as the Sports of the Elite class.

Story Line : Ali (Nawaazuddin) , is a simple guy hailing from a low class and who sells under garments along  with his friend Maqsood (Arbaaz Khan ) , But due to dull business and in order to support his foster mother Ali and Maqsood start working for a local goon Danger Bhai (Niketan Dheer ) , they extort money from tycoons for Danger Bhai , During one such assignment Ali and Maqsood lands up at golf course , As Ali has a hidden talent of making 24 runs from 4 balls in his gully cricket , he by chance tries his hand at golf too , he excels in that too to the shock and disbelief  of the business tycoon . There happened to be present Ali’s neighbour Kishanlal (Asif Bamra ) , who works as a caddie at the golf course . Seeing Ali’s talent Kishanlal encourages him to take up Golf and make a name for himself and lead a good life . He manages to take permission for Ali so he can practice at the golf Course and works towards making him a professional Golfer .Ali also manages to get a Manager for himself Megha ( Amy Jackson)who was previously Manager of Jas Arora who is a prince and has been at No 1 position for the past 5 years in professional golf . Jas is totally offended when he comes to know that Ali who belongs to a low class has entered their world of elite class . Ali has to face tough competition and hatred . What happens next will Ali be able to win the National level  competition and make his place in this elite world is for the audience to watch .

 Performances : Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ali is fantastic , his talent is obvious that he can pull of any role at ease.

Seem Biswas as Ali’s mother is overrated and too loud

Arbaaz Khan as Maqsood is fine . Amy Jackson has not much too do apart from dressing up nicely

Asif Bamra as the caddie has done his role to perfection .

Niketan Dheer as Danger Bhai is wasted .

What is Good : The first half of the movie is good with many punch lines and one liners that make u laugh giving the hint for the movie to be a comic movie and entertaining

What is Bad : Alas the second half of the movie goes haywire with unnecessary detour of double crossing and match fixing . Also a forced romance between Ali and Megha .  Sohail khan as Director has directed a couple of films but there is no polishing  in his work in the second half where he ends up making neither a comedy film nor a drama film .

 Final Word : A one time watch

Shraddha Kapoor's favorite festival is Ganesh Chaturthi and we all know that. The actor after having a busy schedule yet made it a point to spend her favorite festival with her loved ones as always. 

The actor welcomed Lord Ganesha at her aunt's residence and was snapped posing with the Ganpati idol along with brother Siddhanth Kapoor and family, enjoying it to the fullest.

Like every year, Shraddha joined her family for the festivities during the day. She also indulged in some delicious Maharashtrian food and sweets.

Shraddha tries to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with her family every year without fail. 

Shraddha was seen wearing an elegant outfit in which she looked simple yet stunning. The outfit was from her own clothing line Imara. 

After spending time with family Shraddha was also seen outside her residence, waving at her fans on the auspicious day.

Shraddha who spent quality time with family for the celebrations of ganpatti bappa, has left for New York for shoot of Half Girlfriend.

Shraddha expressed her excitement on Instagram by posting a snap with family, with captions saying,

Review Of the Movie Dark Chocalate

Overview : Based on true story of Sheena Bora Murder High Profile Murder case that was revealed in 2015 and was all over news and media and channels .

Story Line : The story revolves round Ishani Banerjee  (Mahima Chaudhary) who makes her debut comeback .,It’s a character based on Indrani Mukherjee . , Ishani is the wife of Big Ad Baron Victor Banerjee , She is arrested by the CBI and taken in custody for murder of her daughter Rina Bardhan , when Ishani’s driver Ram Charan (Rajesh Sharma) who is arrested by the police and he spills the beans on Rina’s Murder . He confesses that it was Ishani’s plan to kill Rina .
Upon Interrogation Ishani reveals that her second husband Shadab (Shataf figar) was also involved in the murder.


All three prime suspect Ishani , Ram Charan and Shadab are interrogated and all 3 have different version of the same murder .

We also get to see flashback strory of Ishani , which is a very tragic story of how Ishani who is a simple girl from Kolkatta who stays with her step father and mother , her step father sexually abuses her many times resulting her with a child rina , her journey is shown how she escapes from her step fathers trap and reaches Mumbai and how she meets Shadab and then ultimately meets Victor Banerjee .And how she climbs the social ladder . Then Rina makes an appearance (Riya Sen) , Ishani introduces her to Victor as her sister , after that Rina starts playing a game seducing Victor , what is her motive behind all this . There are many twist and turns in the movie which actually confuses you

What happens next what is the motive behind Ishani Killng her own daughter is for the audience to watch .

Performances : Mahima Chaudhary as Ishani has done a good job as she is the main protagonist
Riya Sen plays both the character of young Ishani and Rina , is good in some bits but don’t make an impact .

Indrasish Roy and Mumtaz Sorcar who play CBI officers try their best tp play their part well but their acting looks not effortless , they even use cuss words often and it looks forced .

Director Agnidev Chatterjee looks like he has picked up reports from news channels and newspaper and made it into a movie . it seems he has not done his research at all before making the movie .
The editing is bad plus the language used is totally cuss , very bad language used,

Final Words : The film has no finesse , totally badly executed . Not worth watching at all.
