Hamari Adhuri kahani is a very intense and emotional love story ,
The story is about single mother Vidya Balan , whose husband Hari played by Rajkumar Rao , a tourist taxi dror 5 years while he takes 4 american journalist on trip tsof Bastar in chattisgarh , for some interviews with a father and his institution , Hari goes missing when their son was 1 year old , Vidya takes up the responsibility of raising the child by working as a florist in a five star hotel , Once she is told that the vvip guest mr ruparel and owner of chain of hotels , vidya is given a task of decorating his pent hous, while doing so she meets mr ruparel played by Imraan Hashmi , who is impressed with the floral arrangements , when vidya is about to leave for her home fire alarm goes off , seeing that even the security persons runs for their life , but vidya acts like a hero and goes to rescue mr ruparel , only to learn that the alarm was fake to test his security staff , mr ruparel is very much impressed by vidya and n offers her promotion to work in his dubai hotel , which at first she rejects but later she gets a call from police station revealing that her husband hari is memeber of a terrorist group and that she shld inform the police if he contacts her otherwise she and her son will be in grave danger , she decides to take up offfer of mr ruparel and goes to dubai , thr while working in the hotel imran and vidya gets close and they both fall in love , but vidya's respest for culture and tradition stops her from going ahead but somehow she agrees to settle with imran , imran drops her home so that she can bring her son and complete formalities of being adooted by imran as his son , when she reaches home she finds that hari is hiding in the home , there is interaction between them whr she learns that hari is innocent and has been framed by the terrorist , but hari also comes to know that vidya is hvg an affair with imran , upon learning that he becomes voilent and runs outside only to be arrested by police and he is put in jail , whr he accepts that he is associated with the terrorist group only to make his wife feel guilty that he has sacrificed his life so vidya can live peacefully with imran , in the meanwhile vidya request imran hashmi to help her rescue her husband which he accepts as he cannot see his love suffering but all his efforts goes waste as hari accepts his crime in writing, the verdict gets him death sentence , but as acp of police knows intention of hari which he reveals to imran , acpn also tells him that if he can get the recorded msg of the only witness father angel who knew that hari is innocent , who is in the jungles of bastear ,, imran agrees to put his life in danger only to see vidya happy , he succeeds in his mission but at the cost of his life , on hearing this vidya leaves her husband who is rescued and goes far from him , but still he finds her after 2 years , but vidya is adamant on her decision that she cannot anymore be tied by his mangalsutra and all customs and tradition ,she breaks free from all this , and after a gap of 20 years when her son is settled she gives her life up in jungles of bastar to unite with her eternal love ,
The movie has good emotions potrayed by vidya and imran both , it says that true love is eternal and pure and no customs or tradition can bound it ,Music is soothing even the background score is soothing .
