Overview :Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive is the second instalment of critically acclaimed movie Tere Bin Laden(2010 ) . which made Ali Zafar a star but in this extention he has only special appearance that puts him in not a good light  and all the lights are taken over by Manish Paul .


Story Line : The story revolves around Manish Paul who is from Chandni Chowk who aspires to  become a Director in Bollywood rather than being a Halwai as his father . He escapes from Chandni Chowk to Mumbai to achieve his goal , in his persuit he meets Pabbi (Pradhuman Singh ) , who is is folk singer and aspires to become singer , but Manish tells him that not  his voice but his face will do wonders in Bollywood due to its similarity with Osama bin laden, thy start shooting  (read tere bin laden part 1), but whole limelight is taken away by Ali Zafar .  After that they  plan to make a sequel  minus Ali zafar . While shooting for the sequel .news  come in that Osama Bin Laden is dead at the hands of U.S.A armed forces . But  President of U.S.A  is pressured to show proof  of his death , he appoints C.I.A David (Sikender Kher ) to get proof by hook or crook , David by coincidence comes to know about Pabbi ,  David and his team reaches India with  fake identity and get up as Hollywood Director who on the pretext of making a movie on Osama bin laden and  how his death was planned  he convinces both Manish and Pabbi to accompany him to Hollywood for shooting somewhere in somewhere , on the other hand there is this terrorist group headed by Piyush Mishra who are followers of Osama and  want Osama Bin Laden alive , but on receiving the news that he is dead and also coming to know that his look alike is in Mumbai , he plans to kidnap Pabbi , from there roller coaster ride begins first Pabbi and Manish are kidnaped by Piyush and rescued by David and his team , fake shooting takes place  but real plan to kill pabbi , what happens next whether  pabbi and manish will come to know about real agenda of david , what happens to Piyush and his terrorist group is for the audience to watch .

Prformances : Manish Paul has acted well , he has expressed his comic shots perfectly , Sikander kher as David//Chaddha has fared excellently , His get up and accent both as American and Indian are very fine . Pabbi is ok , rest are fine though Piyush Mishra is wasted . 

Verdict : If you compare the original Tere Bin Laden to this , it is nowhere better than the first . This movie lacks a good script and good story , Some moments are hilarious but that does not add up to the script .Watch it only for performance by Manish Paul

 In a surprising move, Walkwater Media’s Tere Bin Laden – Dead or Alive, directed by Abhishek Sharma and featuring Manish Paul, Sikandar Kher and Pradhuman Singh will be releasing in UAE, USA, Canada and Australia on the same day of its India release (26^th February).

 

The movie will also simultaneously release in Singapore, Fiji, New Zealand, Africa, Mauritius, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait

One of the most awaited sequels of 2016, Tere Bin Laden – Dead or Alive, just like its previous installment, will be a satire that takes on the varied theories revolving around Osama Bin Laden’s death (as claimed by American media) and the public outrage post his death.

Review of the movie Aligarh

Overview : Aligarh is based on a true story of Prof Siras from Aligarh University


Story Line : The story revolves around Prof Siras who is a professor at Aligarh University , teaching Marathi and who is upgraded as Head of the foreign language department . Prof Siras stays alone in the quarters provided to him by the university . One unfortunate night prof siras is caught unawares by a journalist and a photographer, who barged in on his privacy when he was making love to some t guy who was his rickshawala , the journalist forces both of them to pose in indecent ways and clicked their photos , at that moment even some officials from the university also arrives making the prof feel embarrassed and scareda, Next day those photos become viral in all newspaper inspite of professor giving written letter of apology. As a result of that prof siras is suspended from university on the grounds of misconduct upon university campus , he is asked to empty the quarters within seven days , Amidst all this when all journalist were looking at one side of the coin that prof has been caught red handed performing homosexual activity , there is this one journalist Deepu (Rajkumar Rao ) , from Delhi he looks on the other side of the coin as to why prof siras privacy was barged in and why is he defamed , with all those questions , he goes to meet Prof Siras to write a story . During this process deepu build up a camaraderie with prof siras , and he becomes close friend with the prof by understanding prof's sensibilities and provides him with much needed comfort , as otherwise prof had become vulnerable in his loneliness and current circumstances

On the other hand Prof siras incident had stirred a rage among the LGBT community , and leading activist urge prof siras to fight for his right and file a case against Aligarh University for defaming him and suspending him . Hesitant at first as he would be tagged as Gay , but nevertheless agree to file the case  .  Vijay Grover his lawyer (Ashish Vidyarthi ) , fights for him , a whole court room drama goes on with the opposition lady lawyer , the case sees many ups and down as the k]apology letter given by Prof Siras works against him and the case goes weak , but Prof Siras then also does not give up and keeps himself cool , manoj  bajpai charishma is depicted here  ,  one can feel his pain and agony   , what  happen  next , will prof siras win or loose the case is for the audience to watch . Was all this done on purpose to harm reputation of the prof is left out for the audience .

Performances : Manoj Bajpai as Prof Siras is brilliant , He speaks through his eyes , his helplessness is portrayed by is body language . He has given the best expressions an artist can give .  No doubt that this is his best performance till date . Rajkumar Rao as Deepu is excellent , his chemistry and compatibility with the prof is shown beautifully . Director Hansal Mehta has given a masterpiece by exploring the subject of homosexuality which otherwise is considered taboo in our society. Hansal Mehta has  thrown a new light on this subject  voicing to the Indian Constitution to give respect and dignity to homosexuals too who are deprived of all this in their very own country .  From Decriminalising homosexuality to criminalising it again , India has a long way to go .

Verdict : A must watch for people with good acceptance level and wants this society to accept change , Not take homosexuality as bad but take it in good light . A brilliant piece of art by Hansal Mehta

Saregama launches Bollywood’s Dream Girl’s music album 'Dream Girl'

Mumbai, 15^th February 2016:   RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group owned music label Saregama India Ltd, India’s flagship music and entertainment  Company has launched a prestigious album Dream Girl, composed and sung by Babul Supriyo  (Minister of State for Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation) with Bollywood’s Dream Girl, Hema Malini (Member of Parliament).   A line of this track says, ‘Big B se leke Paaji’ which set the stage for her co-stars Amitabh Bachchan & Dharmendra to launch the music album. Celebrities from film and music fraternity were present to set the musical mood, as the dream girl pepped the atmosphere with her nightingale tunes. While on a political trail with Babul Supriyo last year, she spoke about her interest in singing. The conversation made the singer coax her to record a Hindi duet, 'Aji suniye to zara, kya hai manjara' which resulted into this great project of delivering Hema ji’s sensational voice to her fans by way of this album 'Dream Girl'.

Review of Movie Ishq Forever

Overview : Lush green locations  and melodious music , the director tried to recreate the  90's film , a romantic thriller but has fallen flat .The film marks the debut of model Krishna Chaturvedi and Ruhi Singh who was last seen in Calendar Girls .

Story Line : The story revolves round Rhea (Ruhi Singh ) , spoilt daughter of MLA Sushil (Chetan Pandit ) , Rhea is studying in South Africa and loves her freedom and independence so much that she pleads her father for her to stay all by herself instead of the hostel , her father who is campaigning for elections with much pleading from his daughter agrees and arranges for her to stay in a quaint cottage , but her freedom is short , her father wins the election and becomes the Prime Minister of India , after the announcement , Rhea's father appoints a security agency to protect Rhea ,  However the agents played by Lisa Ray (Naina )  and Javed Jaffery (Amitabh ) , who also happened to be divorced couple , Rhea is frustrated by all the surveillance as her freedom is totally , in frustration she decides to sneak out the  security and she runs away . However as soon as she runs 2 militants run after her to kidnap her , to her rescue comes Aryan ( Krishna Chaturvedi ) , she instantly falls in love with him , but Krishna is on a secret mission , from thereon roller coaster ride starts ,  there are many chase and escape scenes between the security  agency and Rhea and Aryan . What happens next is for the audience to watch also what is the secret mission of Aryan and what is his real identity .

Performances : Ruhi Singh is ok though we can still find traces of her role in Calendar Girls ,but her expressions are plastic , however  Krishna Chaturvedi has surprised everyone by giving good expressions in the movie being a popular model who have to have a straight expressions , but in the movie he has played his role perfectly , Special mention is Performance of Javed Jaffery who has managed to give the film  thrills and a personal touch of humour that is noteworthy . Lisa Ray who has returned to screen after a long time , has done an average job . Others have  played their roles as per their characters .

Verdict : The film has been shot in South Africa , it has been shot at breath taking locations , the cinematography of the movie is excellent , but alas the script and screenplay fails to create an impact , though its a love story but it lacks depth , there are many loose ends in the movie .
Though the story is good and it is inspired by English Movie Chasing Liberty , it could have done better if screenplay was could .

Final Words : If you have nothing to do on weekend then only go for it , watch it only for  sheer beauty of South Africa .

Overview : Fitoor is based on the English novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
                  
Story line : The story starts with a young boy Noor (Aditya Roy Kapur) , who stays in Kashmir with his sister and her husband , Noor is born with artistic touch , he has magic in his fingers to create art pieces and  designs , Begum          (Tabu ) ,appoints him to look after her studd farm and companion for her beautiful daughter young  firdaus (Katrina Kaif ) , Noor  soon finds his perfect muse in firdaus is beautiful enough to be a heartbreaker and it takes no time for little Noor to fall in love with her.
Little does Noor know what his love will cost him ,but Firdaus’ mother Begum Hazrat (Tabu) surely knows the price. Herself being a victim of love’s flipside, she plays with Noor and Firdaus’ emotions as though seeking a revenge for her own lost love.

After creating a bond between the duo, Begum sends her daughter to London for further studies while Noor’s love remains still strong. After years, Noor becomes art sensation in Delhi and London  and it is there that he has a rendezvous with Firdaus for the first time as adults.

But Firdaus continues to play with noor's feelings and tells him that soon she is getting engaged to marry Bilal (Rahul Bhatt)  , Minister from Pakistan and that she does not love him , what happens next is for the audience to watch , will their love story get a happy or sad ending , there is also a surprise element behind Noor becoming Art sensation played by Ajay Devgan who has done a cameo
role

Performances : Tabu has stole the show totally with her performances as Begum , her expressions and dialogue are fantastic , Aditya Roy Kapoor has also performed well  with his innocent looks and expressive  and intense eyes and fine chiselled body that could melt anyone .Katrina is ok beauty without any emotions and expressions , Rahul Bhatt as Bilal is fine , lara dutta and others are wasted .

Verdict : Abhishek Kapoor is the real Noor of Fitoor. The film is like his canvas and he paints it so beautifully that the entire first half you sit marvelling the beauty of Kashmir. True to the song ‘Haminastu’, Kashmir truly looks heavenly. What is special about this film is that because it because it looks so good, at some point, you feel like giving all the flaws a miss and just watch. If only, Kapoor had the backing of a strong script. The movie lacks good script and is very slow paced , specially the first half of the movie . On one hand Kapoor has captured innocent love story of Kashmir beautifully on the other hand Also the volatility of life in Kashmir is captured in a horrific scene where Noor’s sister dies. The scene of the bomb blast seems so real and comes so sudden that it will surely give you a jerk.

The cinematography is excellent , music is soulful but goes on in the background only .

Last Word :Fitoor is a film that looks magical, has impressive performances, yet lacks ‘wow’ factor. This love story is not everyone’s cup of tea and hence those with artsy tastes may like

On the occasion of International Rose day, Katrina Kaif received a record number of roses from her dear co-star Aditya Roy Kapur.
As Rose day is celebrated across the country on the 7th February each year i.e. exactly one week prior to Valentine’s Day (14th Feb), Aditya thought that this would be a perfect gesture to make his co- star feel special.

Aditya Roy Kapur gifted literally a truck full of fresh and lovely roses to his leading lady.

The actor who will be seen romancing Katrina Kaif on screen in their upcoming love story planned this really romantic gesture to surprise Katrina on 7th February 2016.
The idea came to Aditya a couple of days back when he immediately got on to make arrangements for it to be ready in Jaipur where they are promoting Fitoor. 

He definitely wooed Katrina by gifting her a truck filled with about 1 lac roses. No girl must have received so many roses in one day alone!

Katrina was absolutely surprised and deeply touched with this gesture and gave a big hug to Aditya while thanking him for his unique gesture.

Fitoor is a love story of a poor boy and rich girl which will feature Aditya-Katrina opposite eachother on celluloid for the very first time.

REVIEW OF MOVIE GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN

Overview : Ghayal once Again is a sequel to 1990 Ghayal , This film exactly begins  where it ended in original Ghayal .  What can one expect from Sunny Doel film action , action and only action . It has a good adrenaline rush that keeps you at the edge of your seats for a good run time .

Story Line : The story begins where Ajay Mehra who was sentenced to prison in previous Ghayal , thereafter   he is  released from prison , he suffers scars of losing his family , he is mentally disturbed but with help of Soha Ali Khan who is a neurologist , he  recovers and  sets up an News Agency Satyakaam which he runs  to clean up the corruption system of the society and fight for the cause of people who are in distress by the system at some point of time . Ajay Mehra has a whole set up and a whole team with him supported by Retired ACP of  Police  Joe D'Souza (Om Puri ) ,

Joe D'Souza is an activist fighting for cause of poor people whose land has been taken over  by Business Tycoon  Raj Bansal (Narendra Jha ) ,  who has Chief Minister and Entire Police police force at his finger tips , Raj has a son who is totally bad  boy with a bad temper and drug addict  , due to his uncontralable temper he kills Joe D'souza , Raj in order to protect his son , turns the table on and murder  is presented as an accident , but fate takes a u turn  , four young college students  accidentally get the footage of the murder in their camera  and decides to unveil the truth by giving the hard drive to Ajay Mehra so that he can expose Raj Bansal and his son . But Raj Bansal comes to know about the footage from one of the parents , he is now after the life of the four youngsters , Ajay Mehra takes upon himself to protect the youngsters , there are lots of chase  sequences between Ajay Mehra and goons of Raj Bansal , Raj Bansal on the other hand with support of chief minister plays his cards and seals Ajay Mehra's press and office , and the whole Mumbai Police is after Ajay Mehra . In the middle of all this Ajay also comes to know that among those four youngsters , one is  his Daughter , who was deliberately kept away from him by Sunny's Father in Law . Will he be able to gets all youngsters including his daughter safe from Raj Bansal's clutches is for the audience to watch .

Performances : The movie is totally on Sunny's shoulder , Action is at its best , specially the chase scenes amidst Mumbai Traffic and Local Train , such action sequences can only be done by Sunny Doel and no one else . Action at its best , Soha Ali Khan is good emotional support , but Narendra Jha as Raj Bansal lacks the charm of Amrish Puri , no where near to him . The teenagers  have acted well , the chase in the mall between the younsters and Bansal's Goon Troy is well shot , fantastic performance by the young lot . Tisca Chopra as Bansal's wife is good .
Music is ok , as movie does not require songs , its a fast paced action movie that keeps  you glued to seats . The aerial view of Bandra - Worli Sea Link is fantastic plus the caricature of  Ambani Mansion and Helipad are recreated .

Verdict : Its a good weekend watch a fast paced , action packed movie , Watch it for Sunny Doel . who has returned to silver screen with good action in a suttler tone . Fantastic performance by Sunny Doel .

CHETAN BHAGAT LAUNCHES THE FIRST EVER INDIAN TELE SERIES THAT IS ADAPTED INTO A BOOK

Mumbai, 27^th January 2016: Channel V’s intriguing ‘teen’ crime tele series, Gumrah- The End of Innocence stunned the nation and astonished viewers with real-life thought provoking youth crimes. Getting a new face, the show has now earned the distinction of emerging as the first ever Indian Tele Series to be adapted into a book. Written by bestselling author Ira Trivedi, the book ‘Gumrah’ was unveiled by Chetan Bhagat, the popular voice of India’s youth today. The launch was hosted by Channel V and took place on Wednesday, 27^th January at Title Waves, Bandra, (W).

With a foreword by Chetan Bhagat, the book has 11 gripping short stories, each telling a tale and unravelling the consequences of wrong choices made by an innocent teen. Each story is drawn from real life events revolving around adolescent crimes, deceit, bad judgment & treachery.

author of the Book said “The stories featured in this book are powerful, touching and gripping all at the same time. They are not only entertaining, but they are also important – they were important to write and they are important to read, and I do hope young Indians everywhere read this book. Many of the stories are chilling, gruesome and even horrific– they are based on true incidents and the book is telling of our times.”

Gumrah as a brand is now being extended into a book in an attempt to appeal all the readers out there to be aware and be prepared. Taking forward the show’s aim, the book is written with a view to help teens differentiate between perception and reality of the real world. The show is focused towards appealing to the young, vulnerable and impressionable minds of India. Channel V started on a journey 4 years ago to create awareness, and most importantly to inculcate the thought that it takes just one moment of weakness that makes someone go ‘Gumrah’.

The Beer Cafe hosted a beer brunch to celebrate their newest outlet in Churchgate

 

 

 

Located in one of the iconic buildings Churchgate . The beer café opened its doors of the neighbourhood to beer connoisseurs. Inspired from traditional Irish pubs, it echoes old- world charm in a refreshing modern café setting.

Rahul Singh- Founder and CEO, of  The Beer Cafe- India's largest alco- bev chain along with Kedhar Gawde played host to an intimate gathering of Mumbai's swish set over a beer brunch
