Hon Shri Raj Thackeray Launches Mahalagori Sport Event

Mumbai 28th August 2016 – Hon Shri Raj Thackeray  launched the series of Mahalagori matches event to be held by September end 2016.

Mahalagori is a form of sports , its a traditional sports of Maharashtra  but not restricted to Maharashtra and is played all over . Everyone has a special childhood memory associated with  this game . However the current and the new generation people don’t know much about this game . Therefore Mr Sachin Salunkhe of Asain Entertainment and Mr Dharyashil Mohite Patil of Shivratna Entertainment have come together to  conduct these matches at a state level and to give exposure to these matches.

Concept by Tejpal Wagh while the FrameElements will handle the management. These matches will take place on September end 2016 at Akluj. Moreover, these matches will be telecast on Zee Talkies.
The main feature of the Mahalagori is that it will have a unique mélange of sports and entertainment. Many  Marathi artists will participate in it. It will be divided in eight teams with their captains. Every team will be named after a fort of Maharashtra. thereby giving  prominence to the forts in the Maharashtra through these teams. Moreover, the award money will be given to the NGO’s working for the conservation of the forts. This will help the NGO’ for  working to keep  our forts clean and manage it well.  This way  the heritage of Maharashtra willbe enriched.

Shri Raj Thackeray also unveiled the trophy of the match which will be given to the winning team . Speaking on the occasion he said that he used to play this game when he was a child , and that it would be very exciting to watch this game played on a big level .He expressed .his wish to attend the matches and asked the organiser to inform him about it

.Actor Prasad Oak and Sanjay Narvekar  played the game of Lagori on stage marking beginning of the games to be held .

The theme song of the event  is composed by composer Rohan
Celebrities like Sanjay Jadhav, Prasad Oak, Sanjay Narvekar, Abhiji Panse, Smita Gondkar, Hemangi Kavi, Kedar Shinde, Sangram Salvi, Adinath Kothare, Sonali Kulkarni, Manisha Kelkar and many more will participate into the game.

Shatrughan Sinha released music of Mmirsa

Veteran Actor Shatrughan Sinha released the music of Hemnt Praddeep’s upcoming romantic thriller “MMIRSA”, on 24th August 2016 at ‘Club Millenium’, along with lead actors Souryansh & Saanvi, where in almost entire team along with actors and some more distinguished guests like Shashi Ranjan, Anu Ranjan, actor Ravi Kishan, actor Samar Jai Singh, veteran producer Johny Bakshi, actress Deepshikha, well-known Ranjeet, actor Raju Pandit, singer Raja Hassan, actor Sunil Pal, actress Anushka Ranjan, singer Amit Gupta, composer Meet Brothers & Israr Ahmed were present. Entire show was compered by Aarti Nagpal.

Review Of The Movie Happy Bhag Jayegi

 

Director : Mudassar Aziz

Cast : Abhay Doel , Diana Penty , Ali Fazal , Jimmy Shergil , Piyush Mishra , Kawaljeet Singh . Momal Sheikh.

Overview : The  Movie sees Abhay Doel and Diana Penty back on silver screen after a long time . Its not the usual India Pakistan Animosity but it’s a  good comedy movie

 Story Line : In Amritsar at the one hand Happy ( Diana Penty ) , is getting married which is an arranged marriage to Daman Singh  Bagga ( Jimmy Shergil ) , but as Happy is in love with Guddu ( Ali Fazal ) , they both decide to elope  on the day of her wedding , on the other hand Pakistan Former Governor Javedl Ahmed ( Javed Khan ) along with his son  Bilal Ahmed ( Abhay Doel ) , are in Amritsar for Agro Conference , where in Agro products are to be delivered to Pakistan from India . Coincidentally the truck with Agro products is stuck in the middle of the wedding of Happy and Bagga , Happy and Guddu haad made  a plan that Happy would escape in the truck loaded with flowers but lo accidentily  Happy jumps in to the truck with Agro products and she unknowingly reaches Pakistan at Bilal . Ahmed residence. When Bilal Ahmed comes to know that she is an Indian Girl , he tries to deport her back to India before his father comes to know about her , but Happy creates a havoc over there , takes the whole of Lahore on her head  , she tells him if she goes back her father will force him to get married to bagga ,  Fed Up Bilal agrees to help her to get her married to Guddu and agrees to bring Guddu to Pakistan .  On the other hand Bagga Kidnaps Guddu with the assurance that Happy will come to him for the sake of Guddu .

Bilal Ahmed along with  the  help of , police Acp  Afridi ( Piyush Mishra ) , makes a plan to bring Guddu to Pakistan , They disguise themselves as Owner of Msic Company  They manage to convince Bagga to give permission to Guddu to travel to Pakistan for a musical Show . From there onwards a roller coaster ride starts , with Guddu , Bagga and Happy’s Father all reaching Pakistan .  But Bilal is determined to unite Happy and Guddu , but on this journey he himself also falls in love with Happy inspite of the fact that he is already  engaged to Momal Sheikh . What happens  to love story of Happy and Guddu will Bilal come in Between , what happens to Bagga will he win or loose the girl  is for the audience to watch .

 

Script and Director Analysis : The script comes as the surprise , the movie has very funny moments , especially the  Urdu Dialges  by Piyush KMishra will blow your heart , For a change its not an Hindustani and Pakistani Romance but something different , instead both India And Pakistan are shown in different light ,  the movie has good comic dialogues ,  The director Mudassar Aziz who had given us Dulha Mil Gaya has definitely uplifted with this moviwe , There is no dull moment , that is the positive note but on the negative note , the 2^nd half of the movie has many sub plots which makes the audience confuse and even the climax is rushed in . It could have been good if the 2^nd half could match with the first half . The Music  is average no foot tapping nos here.

 

Performances : This is 2 nd movie of Diana Penty , she has definitely improved , her character is bubbly and reminds us of Geet from   Jab We Met  but she does not come off as convincing but still hats off to her for  her efforts to take that off .

Abhay Doel as Bilal is awesome and Charming and has pulled off his character perfectly.

Ali Fazal as the lover boy Guddu is shown as an emotional character he has done a decent job

Jimmy Shergil as Bagga once again does not get the girl , his role which is partially villain is likeable .

Piyush Mishra as the Pakistani Cop is the best with his Perfect Urdu – Hindi translation jokes adds the comic flavour to the, movie .

Pakistani Actress as,  Momal Sheikh as Bilal’s fails to stand out , she has done an average job

Final Word : Happy Bhag Jayegi is a breezy Entertainer that has many funny moments . One will not get bored so do watch it , once .

Review of the Movie UnIndian

Overview : A cross over Love Story , feel good look and also marks the debut of Australian Cricketer Brett Lee.

Story Line : The movie is set in Australia , where Meera (Tannishta Chaterjee) , who is a single mother , is an independent lady taking care of her daughter , occasionally harassed by her concerned mother who wants to get her marry again to a well settled Indian doctor who is a Cardiologist  . But Meera is not interested in getting married until , She meets Will ( Bret Lee) , who along with his 2 besties were at a holi party . Will is an English teacher at an Institute in Sydney . Will totally gets bowled over by Meera . He tries hard to win her heart , but though she is fascinated by him but she always manages to keep him at bay , due to her tragic past . Will decides to take help from his Indian Friend T K ( Aarka Das ) , to learn more about Indian culture and Community , so that he can make his place Meera’s Heart . But with huge cultural differences , the strong ICN (Indian Community Network ) , and Meera’s tragic past , Meera’s daughter is also sceptical about him . as she feels that he will take away her mother from her , Whether Meera will fall for him , will her daughter and the Indian Community accept this UnIndian , is for the audience too watch . There is also Meera’s Ex Husband who adds a twist to this romantic story what that twist ofcourse is for the audience to watch ,

Final Anaiysis : Unindian is a romantic comedy movie , though some of such cross over movies are there in past like Bride And Prejudice , American Desi and many more , but this movie is a lovely addition to the bunch , this movie depicts cross cultural romance between Meera and Will with freshness , it gives a feel good feeling to the audience .
Performances : Bret Lee is charming and acted well for his debut movie . He will win over your heart with this ininings . Tannishta is a power house of talent . She proves that she can play light as well as serious roles with ease . Supriya Pathak as Meera’s Mother is perfect as Indian Concerned Mother , Arka Das has played his character well , Others are good as per their role .

Final Word : A beautiful light cross cultural romance , watch it for Bret lee who will bowl you over with his charm .

Review of the Movie Fever

Director : Rajeev  Jhaveri

Cast  : Rajeev Khandelwal , Gauhar Khan , Ankita Makwana , Caterina Murino , Gemma Atkinson

Genre : Thriller

Overview : If you have seen earlier Rajeev’s previous movie Samrat & co , Fever seems to be on the same line  but with much more mind games .

Story Line : The story begins with Armin/Karan ( Rajeev Khandelwal) , in hospital as he  meets with an accident , resulting in his memory loss . All he knows that his name is Armin and he is from France . Once out of hospital he struggles to get his identity back but he feels very uneasy and gets these night mares and visions of a murdered woman , he feels that he has done something  against the law . As he tries to solve the jigsaw puzzle he meets Kavya (Gauhar Khan ) , who becomes his confident . Armin tries to put piece by piece together  his past .In the first half it is shown that Armin discovers that he is a contract killer and had a for costumes and scarves .He is not only  quick with his gun but also is smooth with women   , in the assignment just before his accident , he has to kill a beautiful girl   name Rhea (Gemma Atkins ) , but on the contrary he falls in love with her , and one imagines what will happen now , he does reveals his truth to Rhea but from then on the story  takes a twist in the second half the same Armin is revealed as a writer and Kavya is his wife , what is all this confusion , what is the identity of Armin who is he a contract killer or a writer and even  and what is all the mystery behind Rhea and the visuals of the dead woman Caterina Murino is for the audience to watch .

Performances : Rajeev Khandelwal has been doing mostly such dark and mysterious role , I think he needs to change  his forte .  Though he is definitely good looking and he does his role smartly , but still there is something missing in his acting

Gauhar Khan as Kavya is good though  her made up look is too strongly focused especially  his diamond studded mole above the lips which really looks bad .Caterina and Gemma are really wasted especially Caterina has very small role and Gemma looks very artificial and no stone faced .

The Director tries hard to use strong kissing scenes and beautiful and glamorous girls as USP pf the movie but he will fall flat on his stomach as the script is very weak he tries to portray  the film as a thriller with loud background score but the script leaves the audience with no thrill but only confusion .

The only plus point of the movie is it very beautiful locations  of Paris and France very mind blowing and the movie is shot on the internal loctions of Paris and France

The cinematography is very nice and even the music is soothing which is mostly in the backgroumd

Final Word : Watch it purely for its cinatography and if you are a fan of Rajeev Khandelwal

Review of the Movie Budhia Singh –Born to run

Director : Soumendra Padhi

Cast : Manoj Bajpai , Mayur Mahendra Patole , Tillotama Shome

Overview : The story is based on the real story of wonder boy Budhia from Odisha  and his coach that had taken the media and politics by storm in 2005-06

Story Line : The story begins with Budhia a 5 year old child who belongs to a very poor family in Orissa . His mother Tillotama Shome who is so poor that she sells of her son for mere rs 700 , comes in Biranchi Das (Manoj Bajpai). who is the judo coach , he rescues Budhia and takes him to his home promising budhia’s mother that he will take care of their home which is under bad condition .  He tries and discipline Budhia amidst which he discovers that the boy has a gift that he can run nonstop without getting tired or thirsty . From there onwards Biranchi Das trains the boy so he can run a marathon , Biranchi gets a vision that Budhia can be a rising star at Olympics and break the record of being the youngest runner . But lo  Biranchi Das  gets in trouble with the Minister of child Welfare , to prove his point he announces that Budhia will run a stretch of  70  kms from Puri to Orissa , with the temperature ranging to 47 degrees , but Biranchi is confident the Budhia will be able to do so , All the media and the Ministers and local people gather to watch this , budhia becomes the highlight and a wonder child , Budhia runs for 7 hours at a stretch but just before reaching his  finishing point he collapses  after a short medical attention Biranchi manages to make him complete the run , but all this  gets Budhia fame but the political leaders and the Minister for Child Welfare (Chaya Kadam ) , creates a political web and stops Biranchi from  letting the child run nonstop , accusing Biranchi of using the child for his selfish reasons ,  Biranchi fights against all this using his references , but what happens next whether Biranchi will be successful in his mission or he will be subjected to political conspiracy is for the audience to watch .

Performances : Manoj Bajpai as Biranchi has done an excellent job , his expressions for each phase of his life are visually appealing , his anger , determination , confidence and f frustration are depicted perfectly . Mayur the child actor  Budhia is cute and loving , with his innocent expressive eyes that  will take your heart away , his bonding with Biranchi is good  who almost becomes more of his father than a coach. The screenplay is taut and moves smartly from the sports drama with political twist to a thriller .

The Director Soumendra has very well directed the movie , he has left with many questions on the politics and political scenario prevailing here  , questions that need attention , that needs answers ,

Final Words : The Movie should be watched by all , this story of the Odisha’s wonder boy and his coach needs to be heard either as a sports drama or a biopic it has to reach each and all .
