Juhi Chawla sets pulses racing, reading from Jyotin Goel’s gripping new book, ‘Bheem - Destiny’s Warrior’

Juhi Chawla highlighted engrossing sections of Jyotin Goel’s new book, Bheem - Destiny’s Warrior’ during a book launch cum book reading session held at Title Waves, Bandra. Several bibliophiles from the city came together to take part in the literary gathering. The actress read selected passages from the book, her dramatic rendering and the enthralling content immediately riveting listeners.

Officiating as moderator, actor/director Jugal Hansraj maintained the flow of the event and coordinated the post-reading question-and-answer session with smooth professionalism. Indian film director Ashim Samant, , Congress MP Priya Dutt and noted film critique Bhawna Somaaya, graced the event with their presence. Several questions relating to the uniqueness of the novel’s concept and its fascinating narrative came up, which Jyotin Goel and Juhi Chawla answered with incisiveness and humour.

Commenting on the book Juhi said “I am a fan of Jyotin’s writing. I have begun reading ‘Bheem-Destiny’s Warrior’ and I’m glued to it! I just can't seem to put it down!”

Asked by the media  to comment on the ongoing controversy over the film Padmavati
Juhi said she wanted to keep the focus on the occasion, but just mentioned: “Yesterday, I met the Maharani of Jaipur and she was saying that no matter what has been written in the book, the power of film is such that people believe them as the ultimate truth. It stays in their mind forever, generation after generation.”
When Jyotin Goel who is a filmmaker himself was asked about Padmavati controversy said

“Threatening a filmmaker or an actor for a film is horrifying.
“One can oppose a film with another film, a speech with another speech, one can get into arguments but not violence. The moment violence starts, civilization ends.”
Wherein about the book when media asked him how did the concept of Bheem came about he said

I was intrigued by the idea of using the epic hero Bheem as the protagonist of a thriller set in the modern era. From the excited stir the book is causing among readers, it is increasingly evident that I was right!” said Jyotin.

That many book lovers seemed to agree was obvious from the never-ending queues that formed for the post-event book signing by Jyotin Goel, Juhi Chawla and Jugal Hansraj.
