Review of Movie Zubaan

Overview : From the production house which have  given offbeat vbut powerful  cinema like Lunch Box and Massan comes yet another film Zubaan , which revolves around youth , about their dreams and their  aspirations , , the journey to realise their dream is presented beautifully .After achieving lots of acclaim  at International film festivals ....Asia's biggest busan film festival applauded Zubaan

Story Line :  The story revolves around a teenager  Dilsher ( Vicky Kaushal) from a small village in Punjab Gurdaspur , , who loses his father who used to sing devotional songs at gurudwara , His demise shakes him so much that he starts stammering , and loses confidence ,  amidst this he comes across his idol Gurucharan Sikand ( Manish Chaudhary )  who motivates him to create his own destiny.  Those words created  an impact that  as soon as he grows up , he decides to go to Delhi to achieve his dream of becoming  successful as Gurucharan Sikand who was a had become a big shot there , Dilsher by hook and crook  manages to  enter his abode and wins his heart , Sikand gives him special  place in his office and his home , offending his own son Surya played by Raaghav Chanana  in the process , This creates a lot of conflict between Dilsher  and  . Surya ,  Meanwhile Dilsher meets Amira (Sarah Jane Dias) , who is a friend of Surya , and Amira is a singer and performer, Amira befriends Dilsher , Amira makes dilsher realise that he does not stammer while singing and that he should become a singer and listen to his inner voice as music is the only place where his soul belongs , but amidst this realisation many twist and turns take place in dilsher'Gus life , lots of truth are revealed as to why Gurucharan Sikand had adopted him in his abode , he gets a blow of his lifetime that makes him realise where he actually  belongs , where his soul is , he listens to his inner voice , what happens next is for the audience to  watch

Performances : Vicky  Kaushal as Dilsher has given performance of lifetime , proving his acting skill yet again post his debut in masaan  whether his stammering , his expressions , his vulnerability are all shown brilliantly , he has emoted all these straits with ease . Sarah Jane Dias has also portrayed her role perfectly as a singer and performer . Vicky and Sarah's camaderies comes brilliantly on screen.
The film has beautiful Punjab touch and some great gurbani numbers that giving the authenctic flavour of Punjab , The music is by Ashu Pathak  ,  his compositions blend in perfectly with the theme , music is quite different from what we are used to seeing .

Verdict : Zubaan is an impressive piece of art due to its story  telling , though at times it do drags a bit but  overall it is pretty urban and stylish with the musical touch .. Director Mozez Singh has this unique style of story telling that keeps you glued to the screen in unveiling the past fears in te process of  discovering oneself in the present . The movie focuses on one to get out of the comfort zone and discover oneself , hear our own inner voice and follow the same .

Final Word : Watch it for inner peace
