STORY LINE :Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo sees the return of Salman Khan as Prem after Hum Aapke Hai Koun .The name Prem and his character as we all know is famous for its feel good factor . In the movie Salmans character is such that it fels like Bajrangi Bhijaan is back in a new avatar as Prem
The film revolves around Prem (Salman Khan) , who is from small town of Mathura Vrindavan who is a local hero and in his town there is no entry for any goons . Prem is a simple guy and helpful guy whatever his earnings he has the desire to donate his earnings to an institution Uphar run by Princess Maithali (Sonam Kapoor) , Maithali,'s engagement is arranged with Prince of Pritampura Vijay (Salman Khan) , yes salman khan is playing a double role in the movie , On hearing that Maithali will be cmg to Pritampura for her Tilak Ceremony , with Prince Vijay , Prem makes programme to visit Pritampura to meet Maithali .
But unfortunately Prince Vijay is attacked by someone and he is hospitalised , At that moment when Prem reaches Pritampura , the security Chief of the RajMahal Sanjay (Deep raj Rana) , comes across Rem , he is shocked to find out that Prince Vijay And Prem are Duplicate , , Sanjay somehow convinces Prem and takes him to some unknown place . Sanjay tells this whole story of Prem being Duplicate to the Diwan of the Rajmahal (Anupam Kher ) , Diwan taking advantage of simplicity of Prem emotionally convinces him to play the character of Prince Vijay for some time till the real prince is fine , Prem agrees to it and meets Maithali as Prince Vijay in all this he falls in love with her and vice a versa . The attack on Prince Vijay was all planned by his brother Ajay (Neil Nitin Mukesh), along with his C E O Chirag (Arman Kohli) , for Rajmah or for princess Maithali that is for you to watch . Prem acting as Prince Vijay also comes to know the secret that apart from 2 brothers Vijay and Ajay , there are 2 sisters also Chandrika (Swara Bhaskar) , and Radhika (Ashika Bhatia) , but who have been kept away from entering the RajMahal , when Prem comes to know about the reason why 2 sisters are kept away , he takes responsibility on his shoulder to get them their rights .
Amidst all this something happens that changes the scenario totally , what did exactly happen is for you to watch , what will happen when Maithali comes to know the truth that Prem is not Prince Vijay what will happen is for the audience to know .
VERDICT : The movie has nothing new to offer , director Sooraj Barjatya has not given anything new .
The film is totally Salman Oriented . The film is totally based on Salman's Shoulder . His Charm , Wit and his style which we have seen in his recent movies is there in this movie too. As it is Sooraj Barjatya Film , we can see grand and royal sets as expected , but emotions of each character after reaching peak gets lost somewhere in the air .
PERFORMANCES: Salman at its best , Sonam is fine , Swara being a good actor but has nothing much to do , Neil is fine .The title song is a super hit but other songs does not leave an impact .
FINAL WORDS : As the movie is released on Diwali , it is totally in Sync with the theme of Diwali , its grandeur and celebrations . Watch it only for its grandeur and royalty and ofcourse Salman Khan and his Aura
