Sarah Jane Dias as Freida Da Silva

           Rajshri Deshpande as Lakshmi
Overview : After a long time amidst Bollywood love stories comes a movie on female friendship bonding . Its a rare  bouquet of flowers amongst usual flowers.

Story Line : The story revolves around Freida who stays in Goa and one fine day she invites her female friends from college and others together to come to Goa immediately
All friends arrive some from Mumbai and Delhi , Even Freida's cousin Joanna "jo" too arrives .
They all are happy to see each other , theses females are from different walks of life and different temperament . But they bond with each other beautifully , each of them wanted to know the reason behind to call them , freida declares that she is getting married but hides the fact with whom she will be getting married . As there is 4 to 5 days left for marriage , all friends start enjoying their stay in Goa ,they freak out and party hard leaving behind all troubles and frustrations in their personal life . They do share their problems in their personal life with each other and also share the issue of injustice to womanhood  that is happening even today ,at the times when male and female are considered as equal on one side ,but on the other hand eve teasing and sexual abuses that they have to face each day at work or otherwise . Amidst all this Lakshmi the maid also joins in as she is also a victim of harassment which led to her brothers murder , the murderer is  freely roaming  out on bail , inspite of  she being the eye witness ,but there was nothing that she can do .

Day before marriage all friends ask Frieda who the groom was finally she reveals that she is lesbian  and will be marrying  Nargis who was an activist and had arrived 2 days back posing as a friend .
All friends are shocked but are happy for Freida and respects her decision , On that night they go to the beach far off to party , then something horrible happens that change the life of girls totally , what happens is for the audience to watch .

Verdict : Character-wise these women seem to fit a perfect checklist– you got the business woman who’s too busy and high-strung to properly attend to her obviously neglected daughter, you got the struggling creative individual who’s depressed for not having achieved as much as the others around her, the proper Indian girl who went for the arranged marriage but realizes she’s unfulfilled, the creative professional who found her day-to-day job wasn’t fulfilling enough so she quit, and never forget the angry activist. Without revealing too much, the whole cast did a great job, hitting its highest level of bonding during the pivotal revelation of who Frieda is getting married .

The Photography is beautiful and we can enjoy one authentic Konkani song , the music is perfect as per the  theme of the song .

Direction and screenplay  by Pan Nalin is excellent . Only wish it had a happy ending as we Indians are used to have happy endings in Movies

The film also highlights the issue of crime against woman that is on the rise in India and immediate  attention and action is required . The Comman persons the janta has to rise now its high time that we stood up for rights and fight  for injustice against woman.

A must watch movie

4.5*/5*
